Derbyshire v Glamorgan RLODC

Rain prevented any play in Glamorgan's Royal London One-Day Cup encounter with Derbyshire at the Incora County Ground in Derby.

There had been a dry spell earlier in the morning, and allowing the toss to take place. Given the gloomy weather forecast, it was no surprise that Alex Hughes, the acting Derbyshire captain, invited the Welsh county to bat after winning the toss, but shortly afterwards a torrential downpour over the ground saw the protective sheets and covers come back on. The precipitation eased around 1145 and after an initial inspection by the umpires, Graham Lloyd and Neil Pratt, they agreed to make a further assessment of the conditions at 1300. But the rains returned around 1230 with an inspection rescheduled for 1430. However, with no sign of the weather clearing up, and a saturated outfield, play was called off with the game declared a 'No Result'.

This would have been the first time since September 2009 that the two counties had met each other in a List A game. For the record, the Welsh county made one change to their line-up which narrowly lost by one run to Somerset on Tuesday at Taunton, with Andrew Salter replacing Callum Taylor. Glamorgan therefore were scheduled to line-up as follows – HD Rutherford, NJ Selman, SJ Reingold, KS Carlson (capt), WT Root, TN Cullen, JM Cooke, AG Salter, LJ Carey, AW Gorvin and MG Hogan.
