Head Coach Matt Maynard has named a 13-man squad for the LV= Insurance County Championship match against Sussex at Hove, starting Sunday 4th July at 11am.
Colin Ingram has been included, and could feature in his first first-class game since he faced Gloucestershire in Cardiff in 2017, with Sam Pearce also in line for a potential first-class debut, charting the Cardiff UCCE and Wales NC skipper's rapid rise over the few weeks.
Timm van der Gugten returns to the squad after missing the previous match, the six-wicket win over Lancashire, due to international duty for Netherlands.
Nick Selman remains out as he continues to isolate after contracting Covid-19, while Marnus Labuschagne and Michael Neser will miss the game with NHS Track and Trace confirming that their quarantine period finishes at 12:01am Monday morning, leaving them unavailable for the game.
Glamorgan sit fourth in Group 3, with an outside chance of making the top two and gaining a berth in Division 1, but a win against Sussex would all but confirm Division 2 cricket in the final phase of the season. The Welsh county have gone unbeaten in their last five games, with wins against Kent and Lancashire, and rain-affected draws against Kent, Lancashire, and Yorkshire.
Sussex are bottom of the table, 28 points behind Glamorgan, with their only win of the campaign so far coming at Sophia Gardens as Ollie Robinson took 13 wickets to help his side to victory on the final day and press his case for his England call-up to the squad against New Zealand.
The south coast side are missing a number of players due to a Covid-19 case in their camp, with Archie Lenham in line for a debut at 16 years old, as a host of first-team regulars are out.
View from the camp: David Lloyd
"We've shown some really good signs in the four-day stuff, especially with that great win against Lancashire.
"We've got to get back into that mindset, get back that confidence we had, because we've been really good in the four-day stuff.
"We've not had a lot of time to practice, the guys are really looking forward to it, we've got a few guys coming back in, and hopefully the weather is good.
"You want to finish as high as you can. We need to keep doing what we were doing, especially what we did against Lancashire, and we've got two very important games (Sussex away then Northamptonshire home), and we have to play positively, believe in ourselves, and see where we end up."
Sussex squad to face Glamorgan: Ben Brown (captain), Will Beer, Jack Carson, Oli Carter, Mitch Claydon, Travis Head, Daniel Ibrahim, Archie Lenham, Stuart Meaker, Ali Orr, Joe Sarro, Aaron Thomason, Stiaan van Zyl
