Head coach David Harrison has named a 14-man squad for Glamorgan’s opening Royal London Cup match of the season against Warwickshire at Sophia Gardens tomorrow.
It will be the first time Glamorgan have played in the 50-over competition since 2019 after last year’s tournament was abandoned due to the pandemic.
Kiran Carlson will captain the side throughout the tournament with Club captain Chris Cooke and vice-captain David Lloyd away at The Hundred. Colin Ingram, Timm van der Gugten and Dan Douthwaite are also missing after being selected for the ECB’s new competition.
Overseas signing Hamish Rutherford will make his Glamorgan List A debut if selected, while Tom Cullen, Callum Taylor, Sam Pearce and Joe Cooke will make their List A debuts if picked in the final eleven.
Steven Reingold and Andy Gorvin have been registered by the club after impressing for Glamorgan 2nd XI and Wales National County and also make their first team debuts if they make the starting line-up.
James Weighell is suffering from a stomach bug and is unavailable for the clash, while Ruaidhri Smith picked up a hamstring issue during the Wales National County match and is currently being assessed.
David Harrison remains away from the team, after being pinged by track and trace. Steve Watkin and Adrian Shaw will continue to take charge until Harrison's return.

“We see the Royal London Cup as a tournament we can target. It’s a competition we want to do well in and go as far as we can but we also want to use it to develop our young cricketers on the way too.
“We’ve lost five guys to The Hundred, but most teams will be in the same kind of boat as we are so it will be interesting to see some new players given the opportunity to put their hands up.
“Hamish Rutherford is a fine player. He played in a second team game last week on a difficult wicket and played really well.
“He’s great around the dressing room and a really nice lad and we look forward to seeing a few runs from him in 50-over cricket where he has a strong record.”
Glamorgan vs Warwickshire: List A Head-to-Head in Cardiff
this will be the first time since 2015 that the two teams have met in a List A match, with the game also being the first at Cardiff since Glamorgan met Warwickshire in a day-night contest during August 2008 and just a few months after the completion of the ground’s redevelopment scheme.
