The 2023 domestic fixtures have been revealed with Glamorgan starting their LV= County Championship campaign with back-to-back matches at Sophia Gardens against local rivals Gloucestershire on Thursday, 6th April and Durham on Thursday, 20th April.

With the fixture announcement, the Club has also gone on sale with its 2023 Memberships - the full range of memberships are available to view HERE.

Following six red-ball matches across April and May, the Welsh county enters Vitality Blast action.

The Vitality Blast runs from late May until early July with Glamorgan kicking off their T20 campaign away at Gloucestershire on May 26th.

Glamorgan play seven home matches across the group stages of the competition with our opening home game against Kent Spitfires on Friday, 2nd June.

Across the seven games at Sophia Gardens, three are being played on Friday nights, while there are two Sunday fixtures and two marquee Wednesday night matches against Surrey (7th June) and Somerset (21st June).

The Welsh county's match against Surrey on Wednesday will be preceded by Western Storm taking on Nottingham-based Blaze in Cardiff in our first-ever double-header.

The LV= County Championship then returns in July for three rounds before we play a warm-up match against Herefordshire (31st July) in preparation for the One-Day Cup, which begins with an away trip to Worcestershire Rapids on Friday, 4th August.

The opening home match in the 50-over competition is against Durham Cricket on Tuesday, 8th August and we round off the group stages at Sophia Gardens against Northamptonshire Steelbacks (22nd August).

In September, we play our final LV= County Championship matches of the season, starting with Worcestershire on Sunday, 3rd September before two final home games at Sophia Gardens against Yorkshire (10th September) and Derbyshire (26th September).

Speaking on the fixture announcements, CEO Hugh Morris, said: “It’s looking like another action-packed season of domestic cricket, with plenty for our members and supporters to look forward to.

“It’s particularly pleasing to start our County Championship campaign with two home matches, hopefully putting us in good stead for the rest of the competition, while we have a very exciting Vitality Blast schedule.

“We are currently in negotiations with our out-grounds to host matches at their venues and will be confirming all venues as soon as these discussions are concluded.”
