A socially distanced Media Day at Sophia Gardens

30 Jul 2020 | Cricket

Glamorgan hosted their annual media day at Sophia Gardens today, with headshots, action shots, team photos and media interviews the order of the day as the side finalised preparations for the trip to Taunton on Saturday.

Displaying their new Vitality Blast and Bob Willis Trophy kits, the new era of social distancing meant some big changes to the operation of the day, with rows of chairs replaced by two-metre gaps amongst the necessary measures in places.

Alex Horton made his first appearance at a Glamorgan media day, wearing his new number 12 shirt, with Joe Cooke making his maiden outing too with 57 on his back.

Two members of the squad have changed shirt numbers for the 2020 season, with Billy Root moving from 66 to 7 and Callum Taylor taking 4 after he was 42 last year.
