Head coach Matt Maynard admitted his batting line-up has struggled throughout the Vitality Blast as Glamorgan suffered a fourth defeat in six matches with a 41 run loss to Hampshire at The Ageas Bowl on Friday night.
The Welsh county bowled and fielded well to restrict Hampshire to 128/7 but could not put any partnerships together in response as they were bowled out for 87.
“We’ve been bowled out for two thirds of their score, so we are disappointed," said Maynard.
“We needed a partnership to get us to 60 for one or two and then one more partnership almost sees you home.
“We know we have a good batting line up but it is not firing at the moment.
“We have had some decent performances so far but as a batting group we haven’t clicked in any game.
“Even when we got 170 in my mind that should be 190. We have missed opportunities.
“We were excellent in the field and Zaman bowled brilliantly, so we wanted to get through the powerplay 40 for one but to lose the skipper got their tails up.
“Daws and Crane do what they do and we aren’t the first side to come here and suffer that fate – they compliment each other well.”
