Glamorgan County Cricket Club is proud to confirm that our player Asa Tribe has been picked up in the Betway SAT20 auction by the Paarl Royals franchise.
After a glorious summer with the bat, including a commendable debut season in the Vitality Blast, Asa Tribe will be flying to the South African city of Paarl for the duration of the SA20 league from 23 January to 22 February.
Paarl Royals, a franchise owned by Indian Premier League's Rajasthan Royals, successfully bid for Asa Tribe in the Betway SA20 auction in Johannesburg on Tuesday 9 September for the 2026 edition of the lucrative franchise T20 competition.
This comes after a stellar run of form with the bat for the Jerseyman, starting in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup with back-to-back centuries for Glamorgan, followed by a career-best List A score of 175 not out for Jersey in the ICC Challenge League, and a maiden double century in First-Class cricket at Northampton in the Rothesay County Championship for Glamorgan.
