Bragg concentrating on his own game

In the first outing of pre-season Will Bragg's unbeaten 45 against Gloucestershire was the cornerstone of the Glamorgan batting chase and made light work of the target total set by the visitors at The SSE SWALEC
Speaking after the match Will Bragg said, It's always nice to get off to a bit of a start putting into practice everything you've been doing in the nets and thankfully we've had a decent bout of weather today so it was nice to get out there and make a good start with the bat.

Bragg was quick to praise the bowlers who helped set up the win. Through Wagg and Meschede Glamorgan kept the pressure on the opposition batsmen, whilst Lloyd, Cosker and Smith benefitted with scores in the wickets column from their efforts.

The bowlers were spot on. not too many wides or no balls and they bowled to their game plans which made it easier when we came out to bat.

Batting is quite a funny sort of game on its own with many variables, but when you are scoring runs it's a lot better than when you are not.

Everyone in the team, everyone from 1-7 has different game plans, my job at the top of the order is to try and set up the game for the guys lower down to come and take it away from the opposition. Nye has come in and that's his natural game to be a bit flamboyant and try things and its paid off today.

Bragg scored 1,000 Championship runs in 2011 and returned to some form last year with centuries against Leicestershire and Kent, but his inconsistency is a source of personal frustration.

The last couple of seasons have been quite frustrating for me personally, starting off very well I've then just not finding the consistency throughout the season, but I've been working on that through the winter on a couple of things and hopefully we can put that into practice this year.

Before the first pre-season game, Will joined Dean Cosker and Graham Wagg for a visit to Noah's Ark children's hospital of Wales to deliver Easter eggs to the patients
