One of Glamorgan Cricket\'s most valued sponsors, Brewhouse Cardiff, will again be providing a live music stage for this summer\'s internationals at The SSE SWALEC, starting on Saturday.
The stage was a popular part of the Foster's Fanzone during the Ashes Test match and T20 international in Cardiff last year and this year will provide a platform for local band Brother Steve to entertain the crowds during the interval of the Royal London ODI between England and Sri Lanka.
With the Artizani Stilt Walkers, Dancing Umpires and our resident DJ, the Fanzone will once again act as a hub for fans seeking something special on and off the pitch.
The Brewhouse Stage saw Graeme Swann's Band Dr Comfort & The Lurid Revelations perform last year and Brewhouse Cardiff's general manager Nick Newman said it was a joy to renew the bar's relationship with its nearby international cricket stadium.
He said: "BREWHOUSE and cricket at The SSE Swalec are a perfect match. The business saw significant commercial and PR success during our association with Glamorgan when the club hosted last year's first Ashes Test.
"As a cricket lover myself I saw the attraction, to cricket supporters, of opening the business early for Ashes Breakfasts with the added attraction of having a packed lunch to take to the game included in the price!
"Alongside other Cardiff and Welsh businesses, we are delighted to support key games with an extension of our live music offer. This gives cricket-lovers a taste of what we will be offering in BREWHOUSE after stumps are drawn!
"Drawing on our contacts in the field of stage and sound, we are able to offer a professional sound to increase the enjoyment factor as the cricket takes a break for lunch or tea. All musicians are drawn from the extremely talented local pool of artists and the band you see on a match day could well be rocking up later in the evening on the BREWHOUSE stage.
"All in all - we greatly value our association with Glamorgan Cricket and look forward to each and every game."
Brewhouse is open for breakfasts for fans from 8.30am on Saturday before you head to The SSE SWALEC. And after the game, your match ticket stub will get a FREE pint of Foster's, Strongbow or Smooth in the bar, with live music and a DJ until 2am.
