Kiran Carlson won Glamorgan Player of the Year for a second time and the Balconiers' Player of the Year, whilst Zain ul Hassan picked up the Glamorgan Young Player of the Year award at the 50th annual St Helen’s Balconiers' Awards Dinner which also hosted the Glamorgan Player Awards ceremony.
Carlson had another stellar year with the bat, scoring a 1,000 runs in the LV= County Championship for the first time, and was scintillating in both the Vitality Blast and the Metro Bank One-Day Cup this summer.
Carlson scored 1,068 runs in red-ball cricket at an average of 46.43, striking five half-centuries and four centuries during the campaign. At the top of the order in the Blast, Carlson was a revelation, scoring 392 runs at a strike rate of over 170.

Ul Hassan had an impressive first year at the Club, after taking over as a makeshift opener, something he had never done before, the stylish left-hander amassed 453 runs at the top of the order, striking two fifties in the process.

Among the other winners were Henry Hurle, who received the Glamorgan Academy Player of the Year for his exploits with the Club and with England U19s. Asa Tribe picked up the Balconiers' Second XI Player of the Year, with the Jersey International scoring two hundreds in the Championship.
