With just a few weeks left in the club cricket calendar, Glamorgan's players were in action across SWPCL Premier Division One.
Bridgend Town defeated Neath by 16 runs, with the home side putting 201 on the board before some tight opening bowling limited the visitors who, despite a late push, fell short by 16 runs. Kieran Bull continued his rehabilitation with 1/37 from his 10 overs and almost led his side to victory with the bat with 66, including 4 fours and a six.

St Fagan’s continued their title march as they won a low-scoring encounter at Forest Farm. Putting the home side in, they skittled Cardiff for 81 before stumbling to the target with five wickets to spare, as they recovered from 24/4 to reach the total just under halfway through the innings. Jeremy Lawlor’s 41 (5 fours and a six) was key to their efforts, and he chipped in some incredible figures of 6-2-6-2 during their time in the field.

Newport defended their home turf in the highest scoring game of the day, holding on against Port Talbot Town in a game that went down to the final over. Director of cricket Mark Wallace took a catch and added two stumpings to his quickfire 28* as his side reached 239/3, with Connor Brown’s 71 (10 fours) not enough to take Port Talbot Town to victory as they fell short by 11 runs.

Pontarddulais defeated Ammanford in a rain-effected game as the home side prevailed by 17 runs. Owen Morgan scored 30 and skipper Cameron Herring hit 49 to lead the Bont to 133/5 from their 30 overs, with Ammanford falling short as they reached 116/9. Morgan added 6-1-15-3 to his efforts with the bat to ensure the Bont took the victory.
