The Premier League club cricket season in Wales reaches the business end, as the race for championship and survival gets challenging.

Abergavenny CC secured their place in next season's South Wales Premier Cricket League in their first season back in the top flight after their win over relegation threatened Cardiff CC, thanks to Glamorgan's Ben Morris who picked his a 5-wicket-haul for his home club. Cardiff CC now face relegation rivals Ynystawe CC, who also recorded a loss over St. Fagans CC after Glamorgan Academy's Zac Williams stellar all-round performance of 4-37 with the ball and 77 not out with the bat. Glamorgan's Callum Nicholls too scored a fifty for St. Fagans CC.

Ammanford CC chased down Bridgend Town's 259 with ease, winning by 7 wickets as batter Gruffudd Owen scored an unbeaten 120 for the West Walian club. Newport CC piled on Swansea CC's misery, as the St. Helen's-based club confirm their relegation status and will compete in the Premier Division 2 next season. Newport's Harry Friend, who is a Wales National County regular and also represents Glamorgan 2nd XI on occasion, recorded his third successive hundred in the league. Pontarddulais CC beat Usk CC to stay within distance of leaders Newport CC and St. Fagans CC, with bowler Rhys Grant's picking up a 6-wicket-haul and batter Cam Herring scoring a fifty.
