It is Newport CC vs. St. Fagans for the title in the final round of the fixtures of the South Wales Men's Premier Cricket League, with the winner of the fixture at Spytty Park claiming the league title. 

St. Fagans CC and Newport CC won their penultimate games of the league season to make a final mouth-watering fixture on Saturday 30 August at Spytty Park in Newport, as the winners of the game between Newport CC and St. Fagans CC would claim the prestigious South Wales Premier Cricket League title. 

Another major news from the weekend's Premier League cricket was that Cardiff CC have secured their survival in the top division, beating relegation-rivals Ynystawe CC by 84 runs, as Glamorgan batter Henry Hurle and former Glamorgan pro Tegid Phillips scored fifties for the Whitchurch-based club. Bridgend Town CC registered a big against already-relegated Swansea CC by 9 wickets, as St. Helen's Ground saw its last-ever game of Premier League club cricket.

Ammanford CC beat Abergavenny CC by 16 runs despite Glamorgan U18's Jack Ryan's 66. Former Glamorgan One-Day Cup winner Steven Reingold hit yet another hundred for St. Fagans CC, as the defending champions beat Usk CC by 8 wickets, with a quick-fire fifty by former pro Jeremy Lawlor. Newport CC's Salman Saeed and Mujeid Ilyas took 7 wickets between them to give the leaders a 48-run win at Pontarddulais.
