Club Watch - Wales Premier Club Cricket Weekend 8

A busy eighth weekend of club cricket in Wales came to an end on Sunday 22 June 2025, with South Wales Men's Premier League, North Wales Men's Premier League. South Wales Women's Premier League and Men's Welsh Cup all taking place on a sunny and warm weekend. 

A long weekend of club cricket in Wales saw plenty of Glamorgan men's and women's players turning up for their respective clubs, with some close contests and thrilling victories. Eddie Byrom scored back-to-back centuries for Abergavenny CC, albeit in a losing cause as Ammanford CC took home the win by 1 wicket in a close and entertaining game. Will Smale scored 79 for Usk CC against table-toppers St. Fagans CC, who further cemented their top position thanks to a hundred by Glamorgan's 2021 One-Day Cup winner Steve Reingold. Alex Horton continued his fine form with the bat by scoring a half-century for Ynystawe CC, who beat Cardiff CC by 23 runs.

Lydia Clements scored a stunning hundred for Radyr CC in the South Wales Women's Premier League, while Charlotte Scarborough scored a fifty for Newport CC. In the men's Welsh Cup, St. Fagans CC hosted Cardiff CC in a game for the ages, as the contest ended in a tie only to be won by the hosts based on lesser wickets lost in their batting innings.
