County Cricket Day 2025 is nearly here, as the fan run initiative celebrates traditional, red ball cricket to attract new fans and generations.
To support the day, under 17s are invited to join us for free this Sunday, 29 June as we welcome local rivals Gloucestershire Cricket to Sophia Gardens for Day One of our Rothesay County Championship match.
Beyond our local rivalry, the match has added significance, as both Glamorgan and Gloucestershire - second and third in the Division 2 standings respectfully - try to catch second place Derbyshire. The current weather forecast also notes sunny intervals, a light breeze and zero chance of rain, making for an enjoyable family Sunday.
County Cricket Day is inspired by - but not affiliated with - Non-League Day, which for over a decade has worked to attract fans to football games at the lower end of the pyramid, and has helped spark a renaissance at that level of the game.
