Glamorgan County Cricket Club is delighted to announce the return of the Cricket Club Commission Scheme for 2025.
After much success in 2024, Glamorgan Cricket is delighted to confirm that the Cricket Club Commission Scheme has returned for another year, as the 2025 season begins. The scheme is the best way to get involved with the only first-class Welsh county, whilst also supporting your home cricket club in doing so.
Each club registered with the ECB has been emailed their specific ticket links for the Vitality Blast home matches at Sophia Gardens. Any tickets purchased via the link for the Vitality Blast home group matches qualify to receive commission as an exchange, with 50% of ticket value for tickets purchased via their links to be received by the home club of the ticket purchaser.
For example, if someone buys three tickets to the Vitality Blast group match between Glamorgan and Somerset at Sophia Gardens for a collective £50 via the link given to their club, their club will receive £25 back. This ensures that your support goes not just to Glamorgan, but also your home cricket club.
The process is extremely easy to follow, and with a click of a link you can put money back to your home cricket club. Simply click on the link given to your club by Glamorgan as part of the scheme, and you will be redirected to a ticketing page. Complete your ticket purchase and once your booking is confirmed, your ticket will be issued on the Sophia Gardens Ticketing app on your phone, and 50% of your purchase amount will be sent to your club!
The scheme closes after our final Vitality Blast home match at Sophia Gardens, so click on that link now and purchase your Blast tickets to enjoy T20 cricket under the sun, whilst putting money back for your home cricket club!
Talking about how the scheme helps their club, Dafen Welfare Cricket Club said – “The club commission scheme has been well received by Dafen Welfare CC and our members over the last couple of seasons. The club used a percentage of the commission to subsidise the hire of coaches to travel to and from Glamorgan games and we plan to do so again in June this year for another Vitality Blast fixture in Cardiff.
In addition to the subsidy of coach transport (two coaches in 2024), the remaining commission has been used to assist with the purchase of junior equipment and kit for use in training and on match days.
We sincerely hope Glamorgan continues with the incentive scheme in 2025 and beyond as it helps to encourage support for the county across our senior and junior membership. The trips are a big highlight for families in particular.”
Llantwit Fardre Cricket Club's Cole Vyas had to say this about the scheme: “It was extremely successful as we raised around £600 which we are using to fund new equipment for our growing junior section.
The main avenues we used to promote the scheme were via our WhatsApp groups. As the lead for the scheme I utilised our senior players chats as well as our junior age groups. We had great buy in from parents via these channels which drove most of the sales.”
All clubs have now been emailed their club-Specific links ahead of the 2025 Vitality Blast campaign. If you are a representative of a local cricket club in Wales and have not received a link, please email clubtickets@glamorgancricket.co.uk for assistance.
