Billy Root and Marchant de Lange both starred for Glamorgan as the club secured their first victory in this year's Royal London One-Day Cup with a 64 run win over Surrey.
Root anchored the innings with 113 not out, while De Lange bludgeoned 58 not out off 35 balls and followed it up with bowling figures of 4/63.
"Absolutely delighted to have contributed to my first win for Glamorgan and just to get going in the competition," admitted Root post-match.
"The pitch was always going to get better and I had just to try to take the innings as deep as possible, then thankfully Waggy (Graham Wagg) and Channa (De Lange) came in and blasted it to make my job a lot easier at the end.
"As long as we're improving and we look to play the brand of cricket we played today, we're going to be in a good place."
Marchant de Lange added: "I just wanted to support Billy by playing my positive game, it suits the team and if I can get them over the ropes (for six), that's good.
"It wasn't my best spell ever with the ball, but some days you reap rewards and maybe today was my day."
