Glamorgan start their defence of their Royal London title as they meet Derbyshire at Derby in the opening match of the 50-over competition on Tuesday 2 August, with the match scheduled to get underway at 11.00am (writes Andrew Hignell).
Last year’s contest between the two teams was washed out as steady rain started to fall shortly after the toss had been made. There was no let-up in the precipitation so the contest was called off in mid-afternoon and declared a ‘No Result’.
The game in 2021 would have been the first for a dozen years between the two teams in List A cricket as the list below shows:
28 May 2003 at Cardiff – Derbyshire won by 7 wickets
16 July 2007 at Derby – Derbyshire won by 7 wickets
8 Sept 2008 at Cardiff – Glamorgan won by 50 runs
