Glamorgan Cricket have announced that James Kettleborough and Dewi Penrhyn Jones will not have their contracts extended at the end of the season.
Kettleborough, 23, joined the club at the start of the 2015 season and has made three appearances in the Specsavers County Championship in this current campaign, after hitting a century against Somerset in pre-season and regularly contributing for the Second XI.
The former Northamptonshire opener made 42 in his last first-class match against Kent at Canterbury and appeared in Glamorgan’s List A encounter against Pakistan A at Newport in mid-July.
Academy graduate Jones, 21, has made two first-class and four List A appearances for Glamorgan, with best figures of 3/55 against Northants last year. His only appearance in the Glamorgan first-team came in against to Pakistan A in July.
Glamorgan Chief Executive Hugh Morris wished both players well in the next stages of their careers, “This time of the season always brings difficult decisions,” said Hugh.
“James and Dewi have been pushing for a place in the first-team throughout their time at Glamorgan, but their opportunities have been limited. We wish them well for their future endeavours.”
