After a strong start to their seasons, four Wales age group players on the Talent Pathway have been rewarded with selection to represent the South and West at the annual U17 Super 4s Week and the U15 Bunbury Week.
Academy players Ben Morris and Henry Hurle will represent Glamorgan and Wales at the Super 4s at the National Cricket Performance Centre at Loughborough University from the 18th to the 22nd July.
Ben, who is an opening bowler from Abergavenny Cricket Club, helped the U18s team top their ECB T20 group and has taken two 4-wicket hauls in the 2nd XI T20s against Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.
Henry is a hard-hitting wicketkeeper-batsman from Lisvane Cricket Club who also attends Monmouth School. He scored a match-winning 90 not out for the Academy in their T20 win against Chepstow Cricket Club, and has had an outstanding season for Monmouth School, hitting three centuries this season.
The Super 4s Week sees regional teams from the South and West, East, Midlands and the North play against each other in 50-over matches as well as a T20 day on the final day.
In the U15 Bunbury Week, which will also take place in Loughborough from the 5th to the 9th of August, Tom Norton and Jac Hope-Bell will represent Glamorgan and Wales in the South and West team.
Tom is a middle-order batsman who also bowls seam for Abergavenny Cricket Club and Jac is a top-order batsman who bowls off-spin. The week follows the same format as the U17 week.
Head of Talent Development, Richard Almond, said: “Selection into the South and West teams is a reward for the hard work the boys have put in this past winter and thus far this summer.
"We wish them all the best as they represent Glamorgan and Wales in their respective weeks. We will be following their progress closely.”
