After their victories over Somerset and Lancashire in their first two Second Eleven Championship matches, Glamorgan 2nd XI were scheduled to meet their counterparts from Worcestershire at Barnt Green CC in their next game in the competition.
However, heavy rain in the Birmingham suburbs prevented any play on the opening day (Monday), whilst overnight storms meant that nothing was possible on the second day (Tuesday). With the ground still in a saturated state on the third morning (Wednesday) and no prospect of conditions improving, the match was abandoned by the umpires.
