Glamorgan 2nd XI lose a high-scoring contest at Kidderminster

Glamorgan 2nd XI lost their Second Eleven Championship match against Worcestershire 2nd XI at Kidderminster by four wickets.
Glamorgan 2nd XI declared on 409/5 after 91 overs on the opening day of their Second Eleven Championship match against Worcestershire 2nd XI at Kidderminster. Stewart Walters top-scored with 101 whilst there were useful contributions from Tom Lancefield (85), Murray Goodwin (67) and youngster Aneurin Donald (60).

In reply, Worcestershire were dismissed for 267 on the second day of the match with teenage seam bowler Lukas Carey taking 4/23 from his ten overs, whilst young off-spinner Kieran Bull claimed 3/71. After gaining a useful lead on first innings, Glamorgan then extended it during the evening session with Gareth Rees making 57 and Murray Goodwin an unbeaten 91 as Glamorgan ended the second day's play on 198/2 from 38 overs, and with an overall lead of 340.

Goodwin duly completed his hundred on the final morning before Glamorgan declared on 268/4 to set Worcestershire a target of 415. Opening batsman Shaiq Choudhry saw his side on the way with an innings of 151 before Richard Oliver chipped in with 56, whilst some late impetus came from Brett D'Oliveria as Worcestershire reached their target for the loss of six wickets.
