It was successful outing for the Glamorgan 2nd XI away at Sussex, as they recorded a 7-wicket win thanks to an amazing century from Tom Bevan and some disciplined bowling throughout the two innings from the young bowling attack.
Two wickets each from Tom Norton, Asim Hameed, Jasper Davidson and WH Mew saw Sussex bowled out for 265. Zain ul Hassan went off injured early on Day 1, but his absence was well adjusted in the batting as well as bowling by Glamorgan.
Tom Bevan starred with the bat, scoring 147 in an exceptional fourth-wicket partnership of 184 with Henry Hurle, who scored 65 runs. Some valuable runs from the lower middle-order by Alex Horton, Tom Norton and Prem Sisodiya got the Glamorgan score to 419, leading Sussex's first-innings total by 154 runs.
A similar bowling performance from Glamorgan in the second innings saw Sussex bowled out for 253, thanks to Tom Bevan and Prem Sisodiya who spun a web on the Sussex middle-order after pacer van Meekeren's exploits up top.
Coming out to bat in the fourth innings needing 100 runs to win the match, the Glamorgan batters wasted no time in chasing the total in just 18 overs, recording a comfortable 7-wicket win.
