Glamorgan Academy took on their Somerset counterparts in two T20 fixtures at Taunton Vale CC yesterday.
Glamorgan Academy won both of their fixtures against Somerset, with the first match ending in a 7 run victory and the second a win by 6 wickets.
The first game between the two sides was a cagey affair with Glamorgan academy being bowled out for 84, but some astute bowling managed to restrict Somerset to 77/7 in their 20 overs. Kellaway had incredible figures of 1-5 off his 4 overs while Jones, Phillips and Jardine each taking two wickets apiece.

The second game saw Somerset score 121/7 off of their 20 overs with Jardine the pick of the bowlers with 3-18 off his 4 overs. Glamorgan chased the target down taking it to the last over to win by 6 wickets. Friend top scoring with 40 and Mehrotra (21*) and Essenhigh (23*) the not-out batsmen at the end.
