Glamorgan Cricket is proud to announce NSPCC Wales as our chosen charity matchday partner for the Vitality Blast fixture against Hampshire Hawks on Friday, 10th June.

The match takes place on NSPCC Childhood Day, which calls on people everywhere to play their part in giving children a great summer and brighter future.

On 10th June, the NSPCC will ask families, friends, and colleagues from across the UK to celebrate childhood by organising a play event to raise money and help keep children safe.

The NSPCC will have a strong digital and physical brand presence at the fixture between Glamorgan and Hampshire Hawks, while NSPCC Wales and Childline Counsellors have been given tickets to the game in recognition of the key worker status and outstanding contribution made throughout the Pandemic.

This new partnership has been facilitated by Glamorgan member Hywel Peterson – Vice President of NSPCC Cymru, and Honorary Member of Council and National Income Generation Board for NSPCC.

The Peterson family have shown further support to the Club by renewing their box in the Pavilion for the 2022 season.

Head of Commercial, Huw Warren added: “This is an amazing partnership that the Club has been able to make with NSPCC Wales, and we are extremely proud to support such a wonderful cause.

“As a father, this event is incredibly important to me and the Glamorgan will so everything we can to make sure the day is a success and we can raise as much money as possible for this great cause.

“Glamorgan would like to thank Hywel and the Peterson family for making this partnership happen. They have been, and continue to be, great supporters of the Club.”

Hywel Peterson also adds “This a great partnership and I would like to thank Huw and the team at Glamorgan for facilitating this opportunity – Glamorgan cricket have got a strong tradition of work within the community and this is another example of them supporting a great cause by backing the NSPCC Childhood Day”
