The Sussex Sharks defeated Glamorgan by ten wickets in their NatWest T20 Blast game at the SSE SWALEC.
The Welsh county made one change to their side, with Andrew Salter replacing David Lloyd, but it was Jacques Rudolph and Craig Meschede who opened the batting as Ollie Robinson took the new ball. To the second delivery, Rudolph chipped the ball back to the bowler as Colin Ingram joined Meschede. But it was only a brief stay as he miscued a pull to Ashar Zaidi at short fine-leg to Tymal Mills' fourth delivery.

Chris Cooke announced his arrival by upper-cutting Chris Liddle for four but three balls later Meschede inside-edged the bowler onto his stumps as Glamorgan slipped further to 10/3. Cooke then swatted Mills over extra-cover for four but with the total on 19, Robinson returned to bowl Ben Wright.

Mark Wallace joined Cooke as the Sharks turned to the spin of Ashar Zaidi and the left-armer struck with his fourth ball as Mark Wallace edged a sweep into Craig Cachopa's gloves as Glamorgan lost their fifth wicket on 23. Will Beer's leg-spin was also introduced with Cooke cutting him for three and two. Graham Wagg then drilled Zaidi straight for six as Glamorgan reached50 in the 11th over.

Wagg and Cooke then scampered a series of one's and two's until Wagg was caught at long-off at the third attempt by Robinson as the all-rounder tried another lofted against the spinner. Parnell then joined Cooke and straight-drove Chris Nash for four, whilst Cooke did the same later in the over.

Parnell greeted the return of Liddle by blasting him through the covers for four. Cooke then blasted him over extra cover for four before hoisting the seamer into the hands of Zaidi at fine-leg. 94/7 then became 99/8 as Tymal Mills returned to have Andrew Salter caught behind. A single by Cosker brought up the hundred before Parnell pulled Mills for four, followed by a glorious cover drive in the final over from Robinson before being caught at backward point as Glamorgan ended on 115/9.

Nash began by cover driving Craig Meschede's second ball through the covers for four before lofting Michael Hogan's first delivery back over his head for six. The opener then flat-batted Hogan straight for four before pulling the Australian for another four followed by an on-drive for four against Parbnell. Wright also pulled Parnell for four before driving Cosker's first delivery over long-on, followed by a deft cut for four as the fifty came up in the fifth over.

Nash then on-drove Cosker for four, before Wright struck Salter for two leg-side fours as the Sharks reached 67/0 at the end of the powerplay. |The runs continued to come from in one's and two's Cosker sand Salter, before Ingram entered the attack and was driven straight for six by Nash en route to a 36-ball fifty

Wright then brought up the hundred by pulling Salter for six in the tenth over before reaching his own fifty from 33 balls. He then ended the contest in the 13th over by straight driving Ingram for six as Sussex completed a ten wicket victory.
