Glamorgan look to bounce back at Hampshire

Head coach Matt Maynard has named an unchanged 13-man squad for Glamorgan's Royal London One-Day Cup match against Hampshire at The Ageas Bowl tomorrow.

It will be Glamorgan's first away match of the campaign and present the Welsh county with an opportunity to bounce back from their 180 run loss to Essex Eagles in the opening match of the competition yesterday.

All-rounder Graham Wagg was the pick of the Glamorgan bowlers after taking 2/49 and with Michael Hogan was able to restrict Essex Eagles towards the end of the innings, but admitted Glamorgan were outplayed in the match.

"It was a difficult day at the office," said Wagg. "They assessed conditions well early on and had a good look at the wicket and played pretty well and out batted and out bowled us.

"We brought it back quite well at the back end of the innings and put a good squeeze on in the field and 320 nowdays isn't out of reach but the way we went about it with the bat wasn't ideal."

Despite the defeat, Wagg is confident Glamorgan can kick-start their 50-over season with a win at The Ageas Bowl tomorrow if  they continue to play with positive mindset.

"It's a nice place to go and play and we have good memories there.

"There's seven matches to go and the boys have prepared really well for the competition and one defeat won't affect that.

"We've spoken about our mindset throughout pre-season and we still want to be positive and we'll take that to Hampshire."
