Glamorgan's hopes of reaching the quarter-finals of the NatWest T20 Blast ended in defeat to Gloucestershire in a five overs a side contest which began at 8.57p.m. at the SSE SWALEC.
The visitors won an important toss, held in the corridor of the pavilion, with Michael Klinger opting to bowl first. David Payne bowled the first over and was hit by Ingram for six over long-on, before the South African despatched him for four over backward point and four to mid-wicket as 17 came off the first over to give the Welsh county a turbocharged start.

It proved to be a false dawn for the Welsh county as just four leg-byes came from Fuller's next over, which proved to be a maiden over. Ingram then holed out at long-on against Kieran Noema-Barnett, before Graham Wagg struck two more lusty fours to get the scoreboard ticking over again But it proved to be a stop-start affair as the next over from Benny Howell - the fourth of the innings cost just a single.

To make matters worse for the home side, Wagg was then felled by a short ball from Craig Miles and after sustaining a facial injury, he retired hurt. Chris Cooke came in the last four deliveries and after blasting a four over extra cover, Glamorgan ended on 45/1.

Chris Dent and Michael Klinger then garnered a pair of singles in Meschede's first over before Dent pulled him for six. But Glamorgan struck back as David Lloyd had Klinger caught at mid-on by Rudolph. Geraint Jones came in and biffed Lloyd straight for six and over extra cover for four, before dragging the next ball onto his stumps as the West Country side lost their second wicket on 22/2.

Benny Howell responded by straight driving Cosker for six before Dent cover drove Hogan for four. The next two balls also disappeared high to mid-wicket for a pair of massive sixes as Gloucestershire won by eight wickets with seven balls remaining, ending Glamorgan's hopes of a place in the last eight.
