Glamorgan have named a 13-player squad for their trip to Eastnor on Sunday for Herefordshire's showcase One-Day fixture.
Eddie Byrom and Dan Douthwaite both feature in the squad which sees each member of the XI that took on Derbyshire in the LV= County Championship rested.
There is a blend of youth and experience in the squad with James Harris named alongside the likes of Callum Nicholls and Ben Morris who have impressed in the 2nd XI this season.
It was hoped that the game would provide an opportunity for two players to renew their acquaintance with the hosts. Two players who perfectly exemplify the key role National Counties cricket plays in the pathway to the first-class game.
Jamie McIlroy and Zain ul-Hassan both developed their game with Herefordshire and are now featuring regularly for the Welsh county.
Left-arm seamer McIlroy, who is in his fourth season with the Welsh county, is now a fixture in the Glamorgan side across all formats, opening the bowling with good economy rates and picking up plenty of wickets.
Hereford-born McIlroy started his club career at GB Liners Marches League club Builth Wells before moving on to Brockhampton.
All-rounder Zain joined Glamorgan this season but is now opening the batting in their county championship side as well as bowling plenty of useful overs.
Last season, he played for Herefordshire in the corresponding Showcase game with Worcestershire.
Play will begin at 11am at Eastnor and entrance is £10 on the day or £5 in advance through Eventbrite.
