The first day of Glamorgan\'s Specsavers County Championship opener against Leicestershire saw the Club open two new lounges.

The Legends Lounge, located on the ground floor National Cricket Centre, will be open to all spectators on matchdays to serve food and drink. It pays tribute to twelve Glamorgan legends chosen from a selection of leading players from the Club's long and proud history and includes Robert Croft, Steve Watkin, Steve James and Don Shepherd.

The Lewis Lounge, open to members, on Level 2 of the National Cricket Centre will serve food and drink and pays homage to the Championship winning team of 1969, captained by Tony Lewis.

Chief Executive Hugh Morris was present for the official opening of both lounges, along with players of the past.

He said: "We at Glamorgan are very proud of what we do on and off the field and we want to make Wales proud.

"It's a great pleasure to be able to open these lounges today, for people to enjoy some good food and good company, while watching some cricket.

"Thank you for being here today and supporting Glamorgan. Your support is much appreciated by everyone at the club."
