Head Coach Matt Maynard has named a 13-man squad for the final Vitality Blast fixture of the summer against Hampshire on Friday.
There is one change to the squad from the Bank Holiday Monday match against Sussex Sharks, with Tom Cullen replacing Dan Douthwaite who picked up an inter-costal muscle injury.
The side contains seven Glamorgan Pathway players, including Roman Walker, Callum Taylor and Prem Sisodiya who have all made their T20 debuts over the last week.
Walker made his debut against Somerset on Saturday and took 2/30, including the key wicket of Tom Banton in his first over.
Sisodiya also impressed on his debut against Sussex Sharks, finishing with figure of 0/24 from his allotted overs, and was entrusted with bowling the first over of the powerplay by captain Colin Ingram.
Sisodiya was thrilled to make his T20 debut, and took confidence from being tasked to open the bowling by his skipper.
“I was really excited to take the new ball,” admitted Sisodiya.
“It was great to be a part of the squad again. We have had a really successful year with the second team and it was nice all the hard work paid off, and to be a part of the last two squads, and to play against Sussex was a great honour for me.
“I really enjoy the challenge and I pride myself on being able to bowl in the opening overs especially in white-ball cricket. I was a bit nervous in front of the home crowd, but I really enjoyed the challenge.”
Sisodiya was part of the 2nd XI T20 Trophy winning team, and was impressive throughout the competition with his economical bowling. With strong performances to his name, he was very pleased that his performances had not gone unnoticed and earned him a spot in the 1st XI.
“It was one of my main targets for the season was to do well for the seconds, and then progress to push for a first XI place,” said Sisodiya. “It is nice to be given an opportunity after doing quite well for the twos.”
The Welsh county have yet to win a match in the Vitality Blast this season but Sisodiya is hopeful the side can go out on a high and get one over on a former teammate.
“It would be great to finish with a win. It hasn’t been the best campaign for us, but it would be nice to go out with a win.
“We have got Aneurin (Donald) coming back which should be an enjoyable battle. They have obviously got a good side, tough players to play against.
“It’s a big challenge, just like Sussex, but the boys want to put in a great performance in front of a home crowd.”
Glamorgan squad to face Hampshire: Ingram*, Lloyd, Marsh, Selman, Cooke +, Taylor, Morgan, Salter, Smith, de Lange, Sisodiya, Walker and Cullen.
