Glamorgan are delighted to announce the signing of Kiwi fast bowler Fraser Sheat for the next three Vitality County Championship matches.
The Canterbury right arm seamer has played 33 first class games taking 103 wickets at an average of just over 25.
The 26 year-old will go straight into the squad when the County Championship season resumes at Derbyshire tomorrow.
Sheat said: “I’m very grateful and excited for the opportunity to play for Glamorgan.
“I’ve always hoped to get the chance to play in the County Championship, so I’m looking forward to testing my skills, enjoying four day cricket with the Glamorgan boys and hopefully contributing to some wins.”
Glamorgan Director of Cricket Mark Wallace said: “It’s great news that we’ve been able to secure Fraser’s signing and welcome him to Wales as we head back into red ball cricket this week.
“He’s got an excellent first-class record in New Zealand and has been in this country playing so hopefully he can hit the ground running as we go into an important stage of the County Championship season.”
Glamorgan Head Coach, Grant Bradburn said: “It’s exciting to welcome another Kiwi into the environment and we look forward to Fraser making a big impact as we push to play some positive winning cricket over this final block of red ball.”
