Glamorgan Head Coach Toby Radford has selected a 12-man squad to play Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl, which includes teenager Aneurin Donald who captained England Under-19s to victory over their Australia counterparts in their final match Down Under earlier this year.
In form Graham Wagg misses the trip to Southampton following an injury and following the end of his T20 stint with Glamorgan Wayne Parnell is now with South Africa playing a limited overs series against Bangladesh.
After last weekend's victory against Somerset, Glamorgan have won five and lost five in the competition, and find themselves level on points with Hampshire who occupy the final quarter-final position in the league table.
It was a good win for us against Hampshire last year that helped kick start our campaign said Toby Radford. It's a good pitch at Southampton and they are good team who traditionally do very well in T20.
We were a little unfortunate when we played them at Cardiff this year. Ervine played well that day to score some vital runs in the middle of their innings, but I understand he's missing and as is Fidel Edwards, so they are a little changed from earlier this year.
Our players are fresh from a good win at Taunton last weekend and we've trained well today, so we go to Southampton full of confidence.
On Donald's call-up to the squad following the completion of his A-level exams, Radford added I'm pleased he's back and that he has got runs for the Seconds to stake a claim. It's important he plays well to force his way in to the team.
He played last year in the Championship and got a half century against a good Hampshire bowling attack so I'm sure he'll see first team action again.
Glamorgan Physio Mark Rausa added, Graham Wagg injured his lower back batting against Somerset on Sunday.
It's a compressed joint injury and he will be having another scan tomorrow, so he'll miss the Hampshire trip and we will make a late call for the Derbyshire game starting on Monday.
There's no rehab required, it's an acute injury that just needs some time to settle, then he'll be fit again.
