Glamorgan have named a 12-man squad to play Kent tomorrow night in the NatWest T20 Blast. The clash at the Nevill Ground, Tunbridge Wells, could prove a must win for Glamorgan as they chase a quarter-finals spot for the second year in a row.
Kent Spitfires are currently at the top of the NatWest T20 Blast South Group with 18 points from 12 games. They are assured a home quarter final and a victory over Glamorgan will ensure they finish top of the table and face the 4th placed side in the North Group.
Glamorgan are one of 7 teams still hoping to claim one of other three remaining quarter final places. They sit in 6th place with the lowest net run rate of 4 teams currently on 12 points. A win against Kent will mean Glamorgan have destiny in their own hands and can secure a quarter finals place with a win over Gloucestershire at the SSE SWALEC next Friday night.
Should Glamorgan lose they will be relying on other results to go their way to avoid leaving them too far adrift of 4th place with one game to go. Crucially second placed Sussex Sharks face fifth placed Hampshire while fourth placed Essex face bottom side Middlesex.
