Glamorgan have revealed their 2019 playing kits for the 2019 season. Unveiled at the club’s media day earlier today, the kits have been designed by the clubs new official kit supplier, Masuri.
The result of a close collaboration between both parties, the Masuri in house design team have developed a range of new bespoke designs which received the final seal of approval from the players before being finalised.
The white-ball strips are original designs and unique in their own right. The Vitality T20 Blast features a bold linear design and pre-dominantly yellow front, fitting for the vibrancy and atmosphere of the tournament. The Royal London One-Day Cup competition has a slightly more subtle feel whilst remaining strong in its appearance using a stepped chevron design maximising the core colour range of the club.
The famous Glamorgan logo adorns the body of both kits with the official kit sponsor, MiPost taking centre stage across the front. As well as the Masuri logo, returning this year are ongoing sponsors and supporters of the club Discover Leeks, SA Group, Philtronics’ and Aston Martin (with their famous wings sat on the right collar).
The Specsavers County Championships whites have a slightly different sponsor line up with the SA Group featuring on the front next to the Glamorgan logo with SPTS on the back and both Aston Martin and Discover Leeks’ featuring on the collar and arm respectively.
Head of commercial, Huw Warren, said: “We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working in collaboration with the Masuri team on all three kit designs and the final results launched today are testament to the hard work and effort that has gone into them.”
“The development of this kit range is just the start of what we hope to achieve with our partnership with Masuri and what a fantastic start it has been.”
Adam Shanley, chief marketing officer at Masuri, said: “We’ve really enjoyed working alongside the Glamorgan team in this new era of teamwear supply in addition to our existing cricket helmet partnership of many years. The team share our vision for what can be achieved with a true collaborative approach when it comes to kit and equipment supply and we’re looking forward to further announcements as the partnership progresses from here.”
“Both parties are passionate about supporting and engaging the cricket community in Wales and we have some interesting ideas in the pipeline to do exactly that – watch this space.”
“On behalf of the Masuri team, I’d like to thank everyone at Glamorgan for their enthusiasm so far and we can’t wait to see the kits in action over the course of the season.”
The launch of the kits today compliments the recently updated training kits that Glamorgan will be using moving forward with local Media and Events company, Orchard, becoming a new sponsor to the club.
Replica kit will soon be available to fans along with the training and developing leisurewear range through the Sophia Gardens store and online soon. Further details to follow shortly.
