Glamorgan continue their campaign in the Royal London One-Day Cup by visiting Hove on Tuesday, May 2nd to meet the Sussex Sharks in a 50-overs contest which is scheduled to start at 11.00am.
With rain having affected both of their opening games in this year’s competition, Glamorgan will be hoping that the rains stay away as they look to return to winning ways after their eight-wicket defeat against Surrey under the DLS Method on Sunday at Cardiff.
The Welsh county recorded a stirring victory by seven wickets when they last met the Sharks in a List A game at the South Coast ground in August 2014, with visiting captain Jacques Rudolph giving a masterclass in limited-overs batting as he made an unbeaten 169 as together with contrasting fifties from Gareth Rees and Murray Goodwin, he guided his side to their target of 329 in the 47th over.
The previous List A matches between Glamorgan and Sussex at Hove had both been abandoned, with the contest in August 2010 and again in May 2007 falling foul of the English weather. Sussex romped to victory in a List A game in August 2006 as former England wicket-keeper Matt Prior blasted an imperious 141 off just 86 balls as Sussex won by nine wickets and with no less than fifteen overs in hand.
