Glamorgan Cricket is delighted to confirm that round six of its LV= Insurance County Championship campaign will be shown live on Sky Sports.
The Welsh county face Yorkshire from Thursday at Sophia Gardens and it will be the first time the club has ever featured in a County Championship match on Sky.
As part of the broadcast package, Sky will bring in four manned cameras, while commentators Rob Key, Michael Atherton, Nasser Hussain, Ian Ward, Izzy Westbury, David Lloyd and Glamorgan legend Robert Croft will add their expertise and insight to the production.
The fixture will see Billy Root battle England captain and big brother Joe, while it will be the first opportunity for Glamorgan supporters to watch overseas signings Marnus Labuschagne and Michael Neser in tandem at Sophia Gardens.
Chief executive, Hugh Morris, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled the club will feature on Sky Sports for the first time and it makes it even more special that it’s during our 100th year as a first-class county.
“Sky will bring an enhanced streaming service for our supporters to enjoy at home, while it will give the players an opportunity to show off their talents to a wider audience.
“They have also kindly allowed us to use the broadcast on our website so all our supporters can watch the production, whether they are Sky Sports subscribers or not.”
