Glamorgan selectors have announced a 13-member squad for the Rothesay County Championship season opener against Leicestershire at Sophia Gardens, starting Friday 4 April.
Asitha Fernando arrived in Wales early this week and available for selection for the game, making him the first Sri Lankan signing in the Club's long history. The Sri Lankan Test cricketer has trained with the squad twice after the friendly against Cardiff UCCE, and is looking ready to go for his first match wearing the Daffodil.
Following is the 13-member squad for the Leicestershire game:

Ahead of the season opener, Sam Northeast said, "We are really happy with the amount of time we have spent outside this pre-season, got some sunshine on our backs and some quality match practice against Worcestershire and Cardiff UCCE. Asitha Fernando's arrival has obviously made it more exciting ahead of the first game, and I am looking forward to work with Richard in an official match for the first time."
Injuries
Mason Crane is unavailable due to a shoulder injury and will be unfit for the start of the season. James Harris has a calf injury and will also miss the start of the season. Dan Douthwaite is unavailable at present due to a pectoral injury and is returning to bowl in training this week.
