Glamorgan Yearbook 2023

21 Mar 2023 | Cricket

The 2023 Glamorgan Yearbook will be published on 30 March and will be available for purchase from that date (writes Andrew Hignell).

The summer of 2022 saw a number of record-breaking performances by Glamorgan players with Sam Northeast scoring a monumental 410* against Leicestershire at Grace Road and David Lloyd hitting an unbeaten 313 against Derbyshire at Sophia Gardens. Both of these amazing innings are reviewed in detail in the Yearbook, together with articles on Tom Bevan – who posted his maiden one-day hundred in 2022 – as well as Andrew Salter who was awarded his county cap last summer.

There is also a review of the international games held at Sophia Gardens during 2022 plus the performances by the Welsh Fire Men and Women in The Hundred. Together with a comprehensive records section for all formats of 1st and 2nd XI cricket, the 2023 Yearbook also contains match reports and scorecards of all the games which Glamorgan staged last summer as well as details about the matches played by the 2nd XI, Wales National County and Glamorgan Academy teams.

There is a Flashback Section, remembering events 75 years ago when Glamorgan became County Champions for the first-ever time in 1948, plus reflections from 30 years ago when the Welsh county won the 1993 Sunday League. The Yearbook also contains tributes to the players who left the staff at the end of last season, plus a review of the outstanding work undertaken by Cricket Wales and the Community Department of Glamorgan CCC in nurturing cricket at grass roots level throughout Wales.

The price of the Yearbook is £18 and you can purchase a copy:
