Glamorgan Cricket is thrilled to share its NCCA/ECB Showcase Game fixture for 2025.
After hosting a Men’s 1st XI 50-over match between Glamorgan and Wiltshire in 2024, Swindon Cricket Club will once again be the venue for a showcase event in 2025. However, this year’s format will feature an exciting change, with both Glamorgan’s Women’s and Men’s 1st XI teams set to play T20 matches against Wiltshire on Friday, 30th May.
The inclusion of a Women’s fixture highlights the ongoing partnership between Wiltshire and Glamorgan, which was established in 2024. This year marks the introduction of a new Women’s Domestic structure, with Glamorgan Women competing in the Tier 2 competition leading to 2027 when the Club will move to Tier 1. A key aspect of this development is Wiltshire’s integration with Glamorgan’s Tier 1 Academy and Pathway system. This collaboration has led to the launch of Glamorgan’s first-ever Girls Emerging Player Programme (EPP), delivered jointly by coaches from both counties, and has resulted in several Wiltshire players being selected for the full Glamorgan Academy.
For the Men’s fixture, the shift to a T20 format ties in well with the start of Glamorgan’s T20 Blast campaign, ensuring that these showcase matches remain a key part of the county cricket calendar.
Key details for the 2025 fixtures:
- Glamorgan Women vs. Wiltshire Women – Friday, 30th May, 1:00 PM
- Glamorgan Men vs. Wiltshire Men – Friday, 30th May, 5:00 PM
A huge thank you to Swindon Cricket Club for once again hosting these matches and to Wiltshire CCC for their invaluable support in making these fixtures possible.
