Hopefully the weather stays nice and clear so we can give it a good crack - Northeast

Glamorgan continued to dominate on day three of their LV= County Championship fixture against Yorkshire at Headingley.

After the heroics of Michael Neser the day before, the Glamorgan batting unit went about their business and set the Welsh County up to push for a win on the final day in Leeds.

World number one Test batter Marnus Labuschagne put on a clinic, as his 170* saw his side to 342/4 at Tea, with a lead of 492. Though David Lloyd declared at the interval, the rain made sure there was no further play.

Batter Sam Northeast said “It was a very good day, and we’ve put ourselves in a good position for tomorrow. Hopefully the weather stays nice and clear for us to give it a good crack.

“Marnus played a special knock and has put us right on the front foot. He was almost ridiculous at times.

“He came out after lunch and said that he wanted to put his foot down, and he did exactly that. He played some special shots. Unfortunately for England fans, he looks like he’s in pretty good touch."
