I felt in good rhythm - van der Gugten

Timm van der Gugten's bowling spell of four wickets for nine runs in eight overs reduced Nottinghamshire to 224/8 on day three of their LV= County Championship match.

van der Gugten started day three at the middle with Michael Hogan as the pair added 25 runs to Glamorgan's overnight score, increasing their lead to 77. After toiling away during the day, van der Gugten's hard work was rewarded with four wickets in eight overs in the evening session to reduce Nottinghamshire to 224/8 at stumps. The Dutchman's fourth wicket was his 200th in first-class cricket.

"It will be an interesting chase tomorrow, I think. Like you saw today, I think if you stick in for long enough, there's enough there for the bowlers. We'll have to bat well but hopefully, we can knock the two wickets off tomorrow morning and then chase well," said van der Gugten.

"It was nice to spend some time in the middle. I always enjoy my batting, I tend to not last as long as I did so it was quite nice to spend a bit of time out there!"

"After my first three overs this morning, I felt in quite a good rhythm and to be fair, I think all the bowlers bowled outstanding today."

"It's been a good game. It's been quite a nice cricket wicket as well, if you bowl well enough for long enough, you get the odd chance. If you leak, you can potentially go for runs, it's quite a fast scoring ground. Good wicket and a good game I think, so far."
