Wayne Parnell finished his T20 Blast stint with Glamorgan yesterday with a crucial role in Glamorgan's final ball success against Somerset at Taunton.
The South African international leaves for Bangladesh tonight to link-up with his countrymen for a limited overs series including IT20s and One-Day Internationals. Both South Africa and Bangladesh are currently in line for a place in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, which will include 5 games in Cardiff, so it might not be too long before Parnell is seen back in the Welsh capital in a South Africa or Glamorgan jersey..,
It's been really nice being part of this Club, said Wayne and I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
I would firstly just like to thank Jacques and Toby for having me here, the club has been really really good to me and I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here in Wales. The Welsh people are very friendly and hopefully in the future I can come back here with the South African team or Glamorgan.
There's some really good potential and I've seen some guys play some really good innings and in terms of the bowlers Hogan, Wagg and Cosker are very experienced guys but its really good watching Salter he's a gutsy player and I expect big things of him in the future.
With Glamorgan still in pursuit of a quarter-final place there's a chance Wayne could yet return this season, and if not he's keen to come back again, maybe for longer.
It depends on what is available for me, but maybe another T20 stint or even if it's for a longer period, he added.
I really enjoy it here and it's a beautiful city as well and just really good people and made me feel at home here.
