After Glamorgan dominated the third day of their Specsavers County Championship fixture against Gloucestershire and finished on 359/1 and a lead of 146, opening batsman Nick Selman (who scored a career best 148* during the day's play) was in an optimistic mood ahead of the final day.
"It was a good wicket," said Selman. "Myself and Charlie made sure we got through the new ball, we expanded from there, then Marnus Labuschagne (who finished the day 128*) finished it off lovely. We rotated the strike and then the runs flowed at the back end.
"Last year was tough personally, I wouldn't say confidence was high, but I stuck to what I did in previous years so I got through the new ball and managed to expand after that.
"There's a bit of rough there (on the wicket), so there's an opportunity to put them back in and have a crack at them."
