Glamorgan took three wickets for just five runs with the second new ball to claw their way back to parity on day one of their LV= County Championship fixture against Derbyshire.
Michael's Hogan and Neser shared the five wickets to fall on the first day, as Derbyshire finished the day on 282/5. They had been 277/2 and in complete command before the Australian pair picked up three huge scalps before bad light stopped play.
'It was a tough day,' Hogan remarked. 'The wicket played quite well, they batted to the conditions and saw off the first session and looked to capitalise after that."
On dismissing Shan Masood, he said: "His numbers in the last few weeks have been very impressive so to get him for 60 to a cheeky little catch, it was definitely good to see the back of him, he's a class player.
"We've got ourselves back into it, we'll take that as a par day. A crucial hour in the morning, hopefully, pick up a few more wickets but if they get away from us we'll be on the back foot again so we'll have to be on our game."
