ICC World Twenty20 teams of the tournament named

Six England players have been named in the men's and women's teams of the World T20 tournament.
Jason Roy, Joe Root, Jos Buttler and David Willey have been selected in the ICC men's team of the tournament, while Charlotte Edwards and Anya Shrubsole in the women's.

World T20 player of the tournament, Virat Kohli of India was named captain of the men's side, while Stafanie Taylor of the West Indies was named to lead the women's line-up.

ICC General Manager of Cricket, Geoff Allardice chaired the meeting and the rest of the ICC selection panel consisted of Ian Bishop former West Indies fast bowler, Nasser Hussain former England captain, Mel Jones former Australia women's batter, Sanjay Manjrekar former Indian batsmen and Lisa Sthalekar former Australia women's all-rounder.

The experts had an extremely difficult task to select the men's and women's squads from around 400 cricketers who represented the 26 teams, thanks to outstanding performances by all the players at this hugely successful event. Allardice said.

He also added: in the end, I believe the selectors have chosen two very well balanced sides which are capable of beating any opposition under any conditions.

Glamorgan begin their NatWest T20 Blast campaign away at the Kia Oval against Surrey before playing two games in three days at The SSE SWALEC as Essex Eagles and Hampshire visit Cardiff on 1st and 3rd June.
