Girls That Play, Women That Lead: Glamorgan and Admiral Pave the Way
Glamorgan County Cricket Club, in partnership with Admiral, is proud to showcase the inspiring journeys of its female cricketers as part of the ongoing professionalisation of the women’s game in Wales.
The new video highlights players who embody the message: “Girls that play make women that lead.” It reflects the Club’s commitment to developing not only elite sporting talent but also confident, resilient leaders ready to break barriers in traditionally male dominated industries.
Admiral’s commitment to helping women pursue meaningful and rewarding careers complements Glamorgan’s ambition to inspire girls across Wales to believe that all career ambitions are achievable. The rapid growth of women’s cricket serves as a powerful example of breaking down traditional barriers and creating new possibilities.
Glamorgan’s Women are currently competing in Tier 2 competitions and will transition to full professional status by 2027, marking a new era for the women’s game in Wales. This year is the first where Glamorgan Women have a Tier 1, professional standard pathway, supported by Admiral.
This collaboration, highlighted in the new video, celebrates the spirit of ambition and leadership that Glamorgan and Admiral are proud to champion — showing that the journey from talented young players to confident women leaders is well underway.
