In the spotlight: MiPost

26 Feb 2019 | Sponsorship

MiPost (pronounced my-post), are part of A McLay and Company Limited (“McLays”), a Welsh company who can trace their roots back to 1801.

With a history in print, McLays diversified at the end of the 20th century to embrace the new digital technologies that were starting to evolve, allowing the production of personalised communications.

Over the next 20 years, McLays continued to expand their product range, and in 2011 they launched “MiPost” with a brand new ‘hybrid-mail’ letter production service, which allowed businesses of all sizes to save money when sending out letters.

Whilst rolling out hybrid-mail to a number of clients, McLays also identified that under new Postcomm (now Ofcom) rules, there was an opportunity to save customers even more money by physically ‘sorting’ the post before being handed over to the Royal Mail allowing 2nd class post at a reduced rate.

Ken Vaughan, MD at McLays, was talking to Hugh Morris when the subject of shirt sponsorship came up. The next day Glamorgan put a proposal to Barrie Stevens, Marketing Manager, offering main shirt sponsorship for the T20 and 50 over kits for the next 2 years.

Although the initial discussion was to promote McLays, it was felt promoting the new MiPost brand was a better fit and the start of a beautiful relationship was formed!

MiPost has been proud to feature on the limited over kits every year since the 2015 season. During that time McLays, and MiPost, have become a key supplier to Glamorgan, providing a wide-range of print and communication solutions, from posters and leaflets through to membership mailings and AGM packs.
