Colin Ingram is in line for his fourth T20 Challenge appearance tomorrow as he and his Warriors team mates team face a home fixture at Port Elizabeth against the Highveld Lions, who are currently bottom of the six team competition.
Ingram who underwent knee surgery following his return to South Africa at the end of the county cricket season, missed the start of the domestic season in South Africa, but returned to the field as the Warriors started their T20 campaign with victory against the Dolphins at Durban.
Neediing 116 to win Andile Phehlukwayo struck twice in two overs to remove opener Seyibokwe along with Ingram as the visitors were reduced to 26/2. Fellow opener JJ Smuts partnered with Colin Ackermann, who will join Leicestershire next season, to close in on victory for the Warriors.
Defeat followed at the hands of the Cape Cobras, with a second score of just 4 for Ingram in the Cape Town clash. He fared better in the third game, a second win for the Warriors against the Knights at Bloemfontein, hitting 16 off 17 balls before being run out to end a promising partnership with Christiaan Jonker to help set a target of 157, which proved beyond the Knights as they lost by 42 runs with 8 balls remaining.
Now Ingram's side face the Lions as they aim to keep pace with the in-form Titans at the top of the pool.
