Glamorgan County Cricket Club are delighted to announce the first four days of the First Investec Ashes Test Match at The SSE SWALEC have sold out, ahead of the Series starting in Cardiff on July 8.
Tickets are now just available for day five, priced £25 for adults and £15 for juniors, although a limited number of hospitality packages are available for days 1- 4.

Glamorgan Cricket chief executive, Hugh Morris, reiterated his excitement for the event, The Ashes is so important for us as a Club to be able to invest in cricket and for the reputation of Cardiff and Wales too, because the spotlight is going to be on our capital city.

When I came back to Glamorgan, I said I wanted to make Wales proud on and off the field. The Ashes represents a fantastic opportunity for us to do that.

There will be 75,000 coming through the gates - with days one to four sold out and we want the media, players and supporters to see our home ground as an established and welcoming international cricket venue.

Having hosted the opening game of the 2009 Ashes Series that saw a thrilling draw played out in front of a packed house on five consecutive days, Glamorgan Cricket are hopeful of a repeat of that success six years on.

We were very lucky to host the first Test Match of the Ashes in 2009 and we are really looking forward to the first Test of the 2015 Investec Series, Hugh added. The 2013 ICC Champions trophy here was a huge success here and people have gone away happy and wanted to come back.

We are the England and Wales cricket board and it is really important that international matches are held throughout England and Wales.

We have to make sure we've got a point of difference here in Cardiff and we listen to what our customers have to say. The ground provides a really top class Test venue for the people of Wales and the South West. The economic impact that will bring, having full hotels and restaurants is really important.

For anyone who wants to see history being made, there are still hospitality packages available for the first four days' cricket, but be quick as you need to book before Wednesday 1st July. There are also still a limited number of tickets available for the fifth day of the Test on 12th July for £25 (which is fully refundable if no cricket is played), please visit www.glamorgancricket.com/ashes for more.
